Kalpathy Viswanadha Swamy Temple is the oldest Siva temple in Malabar.
It was built in 1425 A.D. by H. Kombi Achan,the then Raja of Palakkad.
Kalpathy is linked to Kasi because the main deity is Siva and the temple is on
the banks of the Neela Nadi just as Kasi is on the banks of the Ganges.
The rituals in the temples were coducted earlier by Kerala Brahmins,

Jewish Synagogue at Mattancherry, Kochi is one of Kerala's most beautiful
buildings. It has attracted widespread tourist and scholarly interest.
It is a reconstruction of a building from 1568 that was destroyed by shelling during a Portuguese raid in 1662, then rebuilt two years later after the Dutch had taken control of the area. The 1568 building was a replacement of a synagogue constructed in 1344. Most of the Jewish community in Kerala has moved to Israel in recent years. The synagogue is now likely to become a historical and cultural site.

The Shenduruny Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the southern part of the Western Ghats (8°50' and 8°55'N; 77°5'and 77°15'E) in the Pathanapuram taluk of Kollam district. The sanctuary covers a total area of 100.32 sq.kms. However, the border with Tamil Nadu has not been fully surveyed.
A recent study conducted by Dr.P.Rajendran, has resulted in the excavation of the remains of Stone Age culture from a large cave situated at the north-western part of the Shenduruny river.

Sree Muthappan is the most popular local god in the Kannur district of North Kerala. Muthappan is also the theyyam performed in the famous Parassinikkadavu temple 16 km north of Kannur town. Every day Thiruvappana and Vellattam are performed in the early morning and in the evening. Puthari Thiruvappana or "the first Thiruvappana of the year, puthari means the ceremonial feast from the new crop" is on Vrichikam 16th.
